At 5.30pm Wed 22nd Steve Evans will be chatting to Welsh Comedian Elis James

At 5.30pm Steve Evans will be chatting to Welsh Comedian Elis James ahead of his forthcoming tour date at the Glee Glub, Cardiff with John Robins.

Cult comedy duo, and stars of their own Chortle Award Nominated Radio X weekend show and cult podcast, Elis James and John Robins have announced their debut UK tour for 2016 entitled The Elis James & John Robins Experience. The tour takes in 20 dates starting on 6th October at the Norwich Playhouse and culminating on 14th November at London’s Kentish Town Forum.

With an army of fans this is a massive underground and cult hit that follows in the footsteps of great Radio X podcasts from Ricky Gervais & Stephen Merchant, Russell Brand and Adam & Joe. This podcast is unique, having created its own world that people love being a part of with its own language. Do you know the meaning of the following phrases and expressions? PDC? One-er? Son of a Coin? Keep It Session? Are you on e-mail? You simply have to be these days. This is your chance to finally taste the vibe when Elis and John take their hit podcast on the road!  The show will mix familiar features with some specially prepared treats and the odd #keepitsession ale. Expect 'Sacred Cows' deemed "too obscure" (Producer Dave) for broadcast, textual healing live, and maybe even a new chapter of A Robins Amongst The Pigeons! May contain scenes of #maximumshunting. If the above doesn’t make sense to you then do something about it and listen to the duo’s podcast!

Elis James is numerous critically acclaimed solo stand-up shows under his belt, a hugely successful national tour and invitations to perform both on home soil and across the globe, Elis James is one of the UK’s top comedy talents. With warm wit & endearing charm, Elis’ talents don’t stop at stand-up and he is TV and radio regular, writing and starring in three series of Elis James’ Pantheon of Heroes and two series of Social Club FM both for BBC Radio Wales. Elis is also a familiar face across our television screens including appearances on; 8 out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Three), Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled (Dave) and has some top acting credits including the lead role of Luke for BBC Three sit-com Crims and most recently Elis starred as Owen in Josh Widdicombe’s BBC Three sit-com Josh.
